sound & vibration
Sound is the medicine of the future. Ancient cultures have used sound for healing for at least 40,000 years - Australian Aborigines, Egyptian and Babylonian cultures. Pythagoras was credited as the first person to use ‘Music as Medicine’ circa 500 BCE and during the Greco-Roman era stonewalled temples were used to enhance vibration and acoustics of sound for healing purposes.
All cells of the body emit a sound as a consequence of their metabolic process, this means that all cells, organs and bodily systems have a frequency and vibration that is most natural to them when in their optimal state. Sound and vibration has the ability to re-harmonise the cells, organs and the various functioning systems of our bodies as well as to relax and renew us mentally and emotionally.
Sound has the ability to harmonise our body and mind... our sound and vibrational events came about through the collaboration of like-minded people, people with a passion and interest in meditation, sound healing, community, connections and wellbeing.
The intention of these events is to make sound, toning and chanting a more accessible form of meditation and healing. Many sound meditation events are presented in an esoteric and nonsecular manner which is a deterrent for many people, our events are delivered in an open hearted, communicative and social way.
Each of our events are different, even the ones with the same names! The concept and structure evolves intuitively and we allow inspiration and new ideas to flow through each event from a variety of facilitators.
We host monthly sound and vibration events for the public and we also provide custom events for organisations, corporate events and memorial services.
